This year’s ”Folk och Kultur” conference in Eskilstuna presents a series of Nordic events as part of a new 3-year partnership between the three large cultural-political gatherings: ”Kulturytring” (NO), ”Folk och Kultur” (SE) and ”Kulturmødet Mors” (DK).
The Nordic Culture Fund has been part of initiating the collaboration between the three organisations that will result in a multitude of events with a cross Nordic theme in the years 2024-2026, and a continuous focus on organisational development and sharing of knowledge across the three meetings.
The partnership will explore the status of democracy in the Nordic countries, and how to create an inclusive Nordic community where new voices might be heard.
Selection from the programme “Nordic Future” at Folk och Kultur:
Panel discussion with six young voices from Sweden, Denmark, and Norway about the situation, identity, art, culture, and politics of young adults in the Nordics.
Panel discussion about the successful Scandinavian radio programme.
A speech about how art can spearhead social change.
A conversation with key figures from Sweden, Denmark, and Norway about cultural policy from a Nordic perspective.
A talk about the possibilities, rights, identity, and culture of indigenous peoples in the Nordics.
In addition to the above, the Nordic Culture Fund will participate in a panel conversation “Nordic Cultural Projects – Do We Enjoy collaboration?” on the opening day of the conference.
