The Fund participates in a discussion on the development of cultural policy in the Nordic region on Thursday 10 February. Later the same day, the director of the Fund Benny Marcel will lead a cultural policy debate with young political representatives.
The annual cultural policy convention Folk och Kultur in Eskilstuna will be held in a digital format on 9-11 February.
The Nordic Culture Fund and the think tank a/nordi/c are co-organizers of a conversation about the role of cultural policy and art in society today and in the future, Thursday 10 February at 1.25-1.45 pm (CET).
The conversation between Anni Syrjäläinen and Eline Sigfusson begins with the screening of the film “Reflections”, which is based on The Nordic Culture Fund’s anthology “Reflections – art culture politics society”.
Folk och Kultur is a cultural-political convention. The initiators of Folk och Kultur are Länsteatrarna in Sweden, Regional Musik i Sverige and Länsmuseernas Samarbetsråd, the project owner is the non-profit association Kulturlyftet. The convention has been developed in close collaboration with Eskilstuna Kommun and Region Sörmland and several hundred external organizers and exhibitors. Since the start in 2018, Folk og Kultur has taken place annually in Munktellstaden in Eskilstuna.
The same day, at 3.20-4.10 pm (CET), the fund’s director Benny Marcel will meet with young political representatives in a political debate on cultural policy, election year and visions about the role of culture in society.

In 2021, the Fund published the anthology Reflections – art culture politics society. The anthology has been developed to create an inspiring knowledge resource and a starting point for further discussions about the development of cultural policy in the Nordic region.
