A project combining visual art and sound art to investigate the relationship between cod fish and people in the Nordic region, focusing on symbiosis and life-cycles.
The project is Nordic relevant and the project contributes to the cod fish debate in the field between arts and science.
Cod fish have always been central to the well being of Nordic countries, and this fish is still an important part of every Nordic country’s fishing trade and economy. However, in recent years Cod populations have been in decline throughout the region, from the Baltic to the Barents. We would like to reflect on this decline, and how overfishing is endangering our future relationship with the fish.
