A project seeking to investigate and compare the conditions of women organized on the political left in Sweden, Norway and Denmark from the 19th century to the present day.
The long-term goal of this project is to create both a website and a yearly-printed publication that would function both as archive and as a distribution platform for this multimedia project. We believe this has the potential to engage and inspire a younger generation interested in exploring topics of collectivity, care and solidarity both within Nordic and global contexts whilst exploring and acknowledging ways in which women in Denmark, Norway and Sweden have been organized historically.
This project investigates how women in Norway, Sweden and Denmark have been organized over time. This is an important female perspective on our shared Nordic history. Furthermore, the project manages to engage both a globale and a nordic perspective as well as to make the past relevant for both the present and the future.
Partners: The project involves artists and cultural actors from Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
