Norway’s national meeting arena for cultural policy, Kulturytring, will host a Nordic evening in Bodø focusing on cultural policy and the place of art in society. The Fund’s director, Maria Mediaas Jørstad, will participate in a panel discussion and live podcast recording as part of the programme. The Nordic programme is supported by the Nordic Culture Fund.
The Nordic Culture Fund will give a presentation of the Globus programme at an online information meeting organised by On the Move (OTM). OTM is an international information network dedicated to artistic and cultural mobility with 73 members in 27 countries. The meeting is organised under the auspices of one of the network’s working groups focusing on artistic mobility in an international perspective.
The Nordic Culture Fund participates at the Kulturkraft24 conference in Copenhagen. This year, the annual conference aimed at cultural sector stakeholders will focus on communication, business development and communities in culture – in the company of Nordic colleagues from across the sector.
The Diversify Nordics Summit, organised by Diversify Norway, is the leading conference for leadership, innovation, and sustainable change in the Nordics and Europe, attracting leaders and professionals from diverse industries and backgrounds. The Nordic Culture Fund participates at the conference as part of an ongoing collaboration with Diversify.
The Nordic Culture Fund participates at an international conference connecting 65,000 libraries across Europe. The Summit is organised by the European Cultural Foundation and addresses current issues concerning the role of libraries and the resilience of societies.
The Nordic Culture Fund will attend the Nordic cultural meeting in Mors, where the Fund – among other things – is facilitating a panel discussion about artistic leadership in a Nordic perspective.
A 3 day arts and culture workshop, with a goal of opening the cultural field to practical solutions and tools for structural change, all in the work for a cultural field based on diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, justice and opportunity.
The workshop is hosted by Diversify, and is supported by the Nordic Culture Fund.

The Nordic Culture Funds attends a two-day conference in Zagreb arranged by Philea (Philantropy Europe Association) in partnership with Kultura Nova Foundation. The gathering will explore European philanthropy in advancing the just triple transition (social, green and digital) within arts and culture.
Nordic Culture Fund arranges an online event on Wednesday March 20th at 3 – 3.45 pm (CET) to present the new digital platform within Globus.
The webinar is open for all but the presentation will primarily be directed towards foundations, funding agencies and other supportive actors and policy institutions. There will be a walkthrough of the platform, a presentation of the methodology of the research as well as an in-depth look at one of the dimensions of the platform. It will be possible to pose questions throughout the webinar.
The Nordic Culture Fund attends a breakfast meeting around “Tech, Transparency and Artistic Freedom” in Paris, in connection with UNESCO’s 42nd Session of the General Conference. The Meeting will place particular attention to challenges of artistic freedom in an increasingly digitalized context – while also taking stock of related discussions pertaining to the risks faced by journalists. Participants include several international experts, representatives from member states and UNESCO staff. The meeting is connected to an ongoing partnership between the Nordic Culture Fund and the Delegation of Denmark to UNESCO, around the report “Critical Voices UNESCO’s Instruments in Defence of Freedom of Expression of Artists, Journalists and Scientific Researchers”.
Nordic Culture Funds participates in the Nordic Foundation Conference in Kristiansand, Norway. The program focuses on new partnerships and collaborations in the Nordic foundations landscape. The director of the Nordic Culture Fund, Maria Mediaas Jørstad will take part in a panel discussion on 9 November under the theme track “the role of foundations in Nordic cultural policy”.
From October 30 to November 2, the Nordic Council is hosting its 75th Session, this year in the Norwegian parliament building, Stortinget, in Oslo. As part of the official Nordic collaboration, the Nordic Culture Fund is present at the session. The headlines for this year’s session is, among other things, the Nordics in Nato, how to accelerate the green shift, and the democratic participation of young citizens’ in the Nordics.
The Nordic Culture Fund is participating in a panel discussion on the implementation of WHO’s project, Music and Motherhood, a project on how singing groups help reduce symptoms of postpartum depression. The project is part of an ongoing partnership between The Nordic Culture Fund and WHO’s Regional Office for Europe, as part of the Globus-programme.
The Nordic Culture Fund is this year participating in the very first Diversify Nordics-conference in Oslo. The Fund is taking part in a workshop entitled “Decolonising, Bridging and Belonging in the Arts and Culture Sector: A Framework”, sharing insight and experience on the topic.
The Nordic Culture Fund organises a seminar on “International cultural cooperation in a new era” at Göteborg Book Fair. The panelists are Linda Zachrison, Artistic Director of Gothenburg’s Stadsteater; Kristin Danielsen, director of Arts and Culture Norway; Madeleine Sjöstedt, Director of the Swedish Institute; Stefan Ingvarsson, Analyst at the Center for Eastern European Studies; and Susanna Pettersson, Director of the Finnish Cultural Foundation. The conversation is moderated by Ellen Wettmark, operations manager of Bonniers Konsthall. The seminar will be opened by the Nordic Culture Fund’s new Director, Maria Mediaas Jørstad.
The Nordic Literary Summit in Gothenburg gathers politicians, researchers, writers and professionals from different Nordic countries. The meeting is organized in connection with Bokmässan in Gothenburg in collaboration with Göteborg Bokmässa, Västra Götalandregionen, Litteraturstaden Gothenburg and the Nordic Culture Fund.
In collaboration with Art Hub Copenhagen and the Danish Arts Foundation, Talent Norway is organizing the seminar Art, Risk and Courage, taking place at Studenterhuset in Copenhagen. At the seminar, artists and professionals will share their experiences of taking risks and showing courage in the artistic field through new working methods and workshop formats. The seminar will also feature a variety of artistic performances.
Nordisk Teaterlederråd and the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Copenhagen are hosting the first in a series of seminars to develop the leadership skills of Nordic theater managers and create networks across theaters in the Nordic region through mentorships. The seminar is part of Nordiske Teaterlederrådet and the Nordic Culture Fund’s partnership project Nordic Ambitions.
The Nordic Culture Fund participates at the ninth session of the Conference of Parties to the Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.
