The Fund has awarded DKK 6 million in this year’s second application round of Project Funding

In this year’s second round of project funding, the Fund has awarded funding to 37 projects with a total amount of DKK 6.003.000. By the date of the deadline, 2 May, The Fund had received 133 valid applications.

Among the funded projects is MoNDA – Museum of Nordic Digital Art, which will create one of the first artist-driven, pop-up initiatives in the Nordic region with a special focus on Nordic and international contemporary art, making use of new technologies in art such as augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), 3D printing and scanning as well as art on blockchain with the so-called NFTs (non-fungible tokens).

The Fund has also received applications that seek to rethink and reframe the concept of the nordic. One of these projects is First Symposium on Diversity and Inclusion in Nordic Puppetry. Through an investigation of the nordic puppetry tradition, the project seeks to map out racist structures and promote the inclusion of minorities within the field of nordic puppetry.

A third project, that was granted funding, is Nordic Residency Exchange Programme. A project that seeks to develop choreographic art through collaboration and artistic exchange between dance production houses across the nordic sphere.

Next deadline for applications is October 3 2022.
