Maria Mediaas Jørstad will leave the position as Director of the Nordic Culture Fund at the end of the year to take on the role of CEO at Kunstsilo, the new art museum in Kristiansand, Norway.
Maria Mediaas Jørstad will leave the position as Director of the Nordic Culture Fund at the end of the year to take on the role of CEO at Kunstsilo, the new art museum in Kristiansand, Norway.
“It has been an honour to lead the Nordic Culture Fund, and I am proud of what we have achieved together in the secretariat during my time at the Fund. We have placed culture at the forefront and created new opportunities for art and culture across the Nordic countries. The Nordic Culture Fund plays a central role in the development of arts and cultural life in the Nordic region, and I look forward to following its continued work,” says Maria Mediaas Jørstad.
Maria Mediaas Jørstad took up the role of Director of the Nordic Culture Fund in September 2023 after leading the organisation Talent Norge for 8 years since its establishment.

The Fund’s Deputy Director, Søren Merrild Staun, will assume the position of Acting Director as of 1 January 2025, until a new Director is appointed.
