The Nordic Culture Fund will attend two summits on cultural policies in Sweden: Kulturens växtkraft in Stockholm on 26 April and Agenda KULTUR in Örebro on 3 and 4 May. At the conferences, along with politicians, artists and other central actors, the Fund is going to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing cultural politics, as well as investigate questions of sustainability and democracy in the cultural policies of tomorrow.
KLYS, an association of professional artists in Sweden, will arrange a conference on cultural policies, which, amongst other things, will investigate the conditions of the artist, artistic freedom and diversity in art and culture. The conference will consist of presentations, spoken word, and live music as well as a broad range of different actors from the Swedish cultural scene. KLYS writes the following about the conference:
“This is the year’s most important artist policy conference that you should not miss! The conference is permeated by KLYS’ election program ahead of parliamentary elections this Autumn, where we address issues such as copyright, social security, regional artist policy and diversity in cultural life.”
Kulturens växtkraft is taking place 26 April at the Moderna Museet in Stockholm.
