The Nordic Culture Fund shares and endorses the Nordic Council’s statement on the attack on Ukraine.
Benny Marcel, The Director of the Fund, attends the first literary policy summit which will be held in Gothenburg on the 4th of March. Gothenburg was recently appointed as the Unesco City of Literature and the meeting is part of Gothenburg’s start-up week. The summit will be broadcast live online.

The project is a part of the fund’s program Globus and will result in a comprehensive best practice policy toolkit for three selected Nordic cities: Nuuk, Juneau (Alaska) and Torshavn.
The Fund participates in a discussion on the development of cultural policy in the Nordic region on Thursday 10 February. Later the same day, the director of the Fund Benny Marcel will lead a cultural policy debate with young political representatives.
As of 1 February 2022, Eline Sigfusson will leave her position as Deputy Director of the Nordic Culture Fund and move to a/nordi/c – think tank for art, policies and the creative fields. In connection with the transition, journalist Signe Wulff has interviewed and written a portrait of Eline. The Fund has updated the criteria for Globus Opstart. This means that in future the funding programme must support reciprocity in global cooperation and the exploratory process of projects more clearly.
